We've all got that drawer full of sports bras. Sometimes we may even use one in a pinch as an everyday bra, but I never thought of styling one until WILL LANE threw down the challenge: Rock the Kali Sports Bra with my regular clothes during New York Fashion Week... and it WORKED!
My sports bras are only used to getting sweaty, so I was stoked to take the bra out of my drawer full of spandex and into my everyday wardrobe. The Kali rises above all others in style. It’s sleek enough to wear as an actual top and fashion forward enough to transform a cute daytime look or date night outfit into something with a bit more edge.
Accepting the challenge, I decided to wear the Kali Sports Bra to a NYFW party, pairing it with tailored tuxedo pants and a leather blazer to complement the edginess of the piece for a night out on town. The high mesh neck line, streamlined cut, and black/white aesthetic paired perfectly as a top under my jacket.
Not only did I feel comfortable; I felt like a total bada*s. The look was so effortlessly sleek that no one even noticed I was wearing a sports bra!
I was so encouraged by people’s positive reactions that I decided to take the challenge even further and rock a daytime look with my girlfriends. I paired the Kali Bra with one of my favorite pieces - a crisp white button up, a must-have staple in every girl’s closet! This versatile top can help create a classic look paired with almost anything, including a cute skirt.
To take one of my usual looks to the next level, I threw on my Kali Bra underneath and tied the shirt, giving it a sporty twist. My friends loved it so much that they were inspired to experiment with their own sports bra outfit combos.
I can officially say the Kali Sports Bra has found a new purpose in my wardrobe. No longer is it just for strutting down the treadmill. It’s broken the boundaries of activewear, taking the sports bra from the elliptical to the runway.
